A chromatic riot across eight rooms: Carlton bookcases, Casablanca sideboards, Valentine typewriters, and the unfinished drawings that made the Memphis Group refuse good taste on purpose.

FEATURED OBJECTS

1981 — RM.02

CARLTON

A room divider disguised as a bookcase, disguised as a cartoon. Plastic laminate, totemic, unapologetic — the piece that started an argument that became a movement.

1969 — RM.05

VALENTINE

Red ABS portable typewriter designed with Perry King for Olivetti. "Anti-machine machine" — built to be carried to cafés, not filed in offices.

1981 — RM.07

TAHITI

A table lamp in the shape of a duck that believes it is a modernist. Bacterio laminate, steel, and the Memphis promise that furniture is allowed to be funny.
